Terms of Use

Agreement

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Junco ("we," "us," or "our"). They apply to the tryjunco.com website, the Junco iOS app, and related features such as newsletter ingestion, episode generation, and playback. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and is incorporated by reference.

The Service

Junco helps you turn newsletter and related content into short, listenable podcast-style episodes. Features may include connecting Gmail or a dedicated Junco inbox, discovering public newsletters, generating scripts and audio, offline downloads, and listening stats. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Junco. If you use Junco on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Subscriptions and Billing

Junco may offer free preview access with limits, as well as paid subscriptions such as Junco Plus. Paid subscriptions on iOS are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store / In-App Purchase. Price, billing period, free trials, and renewal terms are shown in the app before purchase and controlled by Apple's subscription system.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (or after a free trial ends, if one applies).
• You can manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your Apple device.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.

If your subscription lapses, existing episodes you already have may remain available to play, but creation of new episodes and related premium features may be limited until you renew.

AI-Generated Content

Junco uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to summarize and narrate content. Generated scripts and audio may contain errors, omissions, or phrasing that differs from the source material. Junco is not a substitute for reading original newsletters when accuracy matters. You should not rely on Junco output for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate others' rights
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private content
• Probe, scan, or overload our systems, or circumvent rate limits or security
• Reverse engineer or scrape the Service except where allowed by law
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Use Junco to distribute malware, spam, or abusive content

Your Content and Permissions

You retain rights in content you provide (for example, newsletter content you authorize Junco to process). You grant us a limited license to host, process, transform, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. You represent that you have the rights needed to use the Service with that content (including any newsletters you subscribe to or forward).

Intellectual Property

Junco's name, branding, software, design, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors. Newsletter publishers retain rights in their original content. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of publisher content to you or to Junco beyond the limited processing needed to provide the Service.

Third-Party Services

Junco integrates with third parties such as Apple, Google, and AI providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party products or outages outside our reasonable control.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be complete or accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Junco and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Termination

You may stop using Junco and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits) survive termination.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
